This journey
is a combintion of two treks in very contrasting and but equally
fascinating regions of the eastern Himalaya.
Darjeeling is a charming town with a wonderful
mix of peoples from the hills and cultures, and just from
about any where in town you can look across the valleys to
the world's third hightest mountain. The walk from here is
along the Singalila ridge that borders Nepal and Sikkim. You
walk through forests and little villages and from the ridge
enjoy a panoramic view that stretches all the way from Mt.
Everest to Kangchenjunga.
The second trek in Bhutan takes you through
sparesly populated pristine valleys and across high passes,
where the only people you are likely to meet are the Yak hearders.
You have marvellous views of Mt. Chomolhari on this trek.
